Fragments in Deep Blue
“She was falling into the dream as I was coming out of the dream.”
— Seferis
Overall, the work seeks to comment on the birth of communication, of contact, that moment when two different beings tend to meet, yet remain in eternal suspension. The red figures resemble fragments of a body. They stand before a blue background, like voices striving to be heard within a strange silence. Light and reflection deliberately play with its materiality, enhancing fragility in space and time, a fleeting scene that may vanish or transform at any moment. The dark background is not empty: it is filled with imperceptible textures, small wrinkles of time. The curvilinear lines that form in each piece mark the ultimate expression of an inner tension that never became a word.
My images do not claim explanation; only the experience of a passage, like a whisper within a stream that has neither beginning nor direction.
